People's Feelings - Please treasure them...
I don't usually post blogs like these but this is a first and it's good therapy for me too...
I'm not going to fully disclose everything as this is something personal to me and very dear to my heart...
But mostly what I wanted to say is that people have to be sensitive to other people's feelings...And every action we make, affects other people's feelings (especially people who are extremely sensitive.)
Not many people are sensitive to others, not many at all...that's why there are so many broken hearts, divorces, just hurt people in general...So for this post in my Little Corner of Happiness I will end it with this...No matter if friendships/relationships/acquaintances end, please be sensitive of other people's feelings. I know this is hard to do since once things are over, people generally don't care after that...
A lifetime is too short and anything can happen tomorrow...I really hope that we all be sensitive enough and send warm wishes to the people we care about and even the ones that we did care at one point in our lives.

Life is great!!! :)
I just can't believe how quickly 2012 has gone! But in many ways it's not surprising since "Time flies when you are having fun" and 2012 has been FUN!
Here are some great highlights of 2012 (even though there might be more in the upcoming 2 weeks left):
- Menlo HS Girls Soccer: WBAL Champions (last time was 21 years)!!! & CCS Div. III Champions (last time was 22 years)!!!
- Menlo HS Track Boys & Girls: Boys WBAL Champions (the only other time was 1999)!!! & Girls WBAL Champions (first time in school history)!!! And first time in League where one school swept both championships!
- Coach of the Year by Menlo Coat of Arms! Thank you Menlo kids!!! :) http://coa.menloschool.org/?p=4983
- Alex gets job for TV Show 'Last Resort' in Hawaii!!!
- Menlo iGreyhounds TC: Just an unbelievable SUMMER!!! Maddy Price PR'ed in the 400M to 55.85!! Took a huge group of kids to Nationals in Baltimore, MD...This was by far the most memorable Summer for the Track Club. Looking forward to 2013!!!
- Menlo MS XC: We won the Boys 7th & 8th Grade Championship and the Girls 6th Grade Championship. Came in 2nd for the Girls 7th & 8th Grade Championship despite illness and injuries.
- Jessica Marso qualifies for NAIA Nationals in Vancouver, WA for Menlo College XC!
- Stanford Football upsets #2 Oregon and takes Pac-12 Championship! Playing vs. Wisc in the Rose Bowl!
- Zoe Enright & Lizzie Lacy finished 16th & 23rd, respectively at CIF XC State Championships!
- Blessed by Love Found! :) Will keep you posted...
- and more... Family Winter Vacation in Palm Springs & Celebrating NYE w/ Tainted Love at the Hyatt Regency!!! :)
2013, even though 2012 was an amazing year, I just have a feeling that you might be better... :) Looking forward to meeting you with lots of hope, energy, passion, and love!!!!!

Very Happy Again!!!
This is supposed to be JC's Little Corner of Happiness and thus I'm proud to announce that this little corner of the world is REPORTING lots of HAPPINESS! :) I will share more later but I just wanted to enjoy these moments and also be THANKFUL. Also, it helps that Stanford is in the Rose Bowl this year, Niners are doing ok, my Menlo kids are doing phenomenal!!! My family and I are healthy. Couldn't ask for more this year and it's not over yet! 2012, you've been awesome so far!!!!

Hi Again!!! 2012 is starting to become Interesting!!!
There are many great news to report this morning since I've been out for a while...But I will begin with some bad news and this is why POLITICS even though unfortunately necessary, it's completely BS!

Notice that GOP candidates Gingrich and Santorum immediately comment that 'uhhhh maybe we should withdraw or 'change plans' in Afghanistan' which by the way Obama had been doing for the past year and a half despite GOP opposition...Romney, the current GOP front-runner, can't back down since he already disagreed with Obama's move in his campaign...Again, welcome to the world of politics...And by the way 9 children were shot in bed during this RAMPAGE!!!
Now that we got the bad news out of the way...I have lots of positive things to report!!!
1) Menlo HS Girls Soccer CCS & WBAL Champions!!! Here's a final story on the season:

Why were these girls able to do what they did? It's not because of coaching...trust me, I'm the first to admit that part...it's because of their own leadership and heart...And as coaches, we can try to encourage that, which I have been for many years, but it's up to the kids to take the ball and run with it! And run they did!!! Outscored their league opponents 39-3! And made this team into a family!!! Soooo proud and congrats!!!!
2) Family & work - family has been doing well...Alex continues to get many jobs in his passion and my parents are doing well...I'm finally tweaking with what I'm going to do in the future with my career situation...hoping to be able to work together with Gary Riekes at the Riekes Center.

Another long hiatus...now back...
Updates:
1) Stock Market - As I predicted back in March of this year, the market went down the toilet, recovered, and going back down the toilet because of "Europe" but we aren't doing any better in our own borders.
2) Menlo Sports - Began this year's middle school season with 1 football championship, and also sweeping all divisions in the MS XC League Championships! With over 50 kids running this year!!! All I can say is...WOW!!! Now getting ready for HS XC League Finals this Friday with both boys varsity and girls varsity teams in a 3 way tie for first, so whoever wins it, wins the league title. A little history, girls hasn't won league title in 27 years (and that was the only time) they also never qualified for State as a TEAM ever!! Boys won back to back league titles but this year will be tough.
3) Stanford Football still undefeated and #4 in the Country!!! While Niners are 6-1!!!! (and our only loss to the Cowboys by a margin)
4) New Ventures - Began actually writing my screenplay tonight and finishing up my business plan for the after-school academic/athletic center.
5) Relationships - A few things to keep in mind again, if it's not a 2-way street, it's not going to work. If the love and admiration is not at least both ways (doesn't have to be equal), it's not going to work. If two people aren't willing to drop their egos for the sake of the relationship, it's not going to work. If two people aren't supporting or get each other's back, it's not going to work. If either one is not willing to see things as a glass half full, and focus on the negative, it's not going to work. If people are not willing to let go of the past, it's not going to work. And again, no games...I've learned a lot in this past relationship and worked/been working still on bettering myself that I'm glad...I will continue to better myself for my future wife. There are so many barriers to prevent a relationship from being a successful one, so no wonder why so many don't work out...BUT I DO BELIEVE that they do work out since I've been around many successful ones (my best friends are all happily married) and one constant variable is this...THEY GOT EACH OTHER'S BACK no matter what. Bad things will naturally happen and we cannot control that...but one thing we can control is ourselves. And this conclusion makes sense, and that's why a marriage is an union of two people into 1. By getting each other's back, you are essentially getting your own back! So please wish me luck and the best that everything will work out...Thanks again for listening/reading! =)

Menlo Track & Sam Parker in State Championships
I just want to say that this has been the best Menlo Track season yet! Here at Menlo, Track & Field IS A TEAM SPORT!!! And also what Sr. Sam Parker did on the 800M in the 2011 CA HS T&F State Championships was amazing! School record of 1:53.52. Soooo proud of him, congrats again Bro!!!

Human Nature to take things for granted...
Or to look at the worse instead of the best in people...It's human nature and we all do it...even I do it sometimes too despite telling myself not to do it. It's such a bad personality flaw but that distinguishes people from each other. I've recently began to consider writing a screenplay that I've been thinking about for 3-4 years now. It's about the phenomenon 'good guys finish last' combined with the other phenomenon 'girls like to date bad boys.' You'll have to wait for the movie in order to figure out what it is.
But the thing is that this is the way I try to live my life. Nowadays many entertainers sing about things that they don't live in their lives. Will Bruno Mars really catch a grenade for his loved one? Uhhh...I don't think so. And most of those entertainers don't even write their own lyrics anyways. So when you have time, thank a loved one or just try to randomly make someone's day.
And that's my short & random (maybe not so random) blog of the day...BTW, my HS Track Team that I coach is going for a historic League Championship tomorrow...It's going to be really tough, but if they do it...It will be amazing...Thanks for the support!!!

Catching Up w/ Jorge...
Sooooo...hmmm...again, another hiatus from blogging but I'm back again...So to catch up for the past 7 months...Here it goes:
1) Menlo HS XC Team - did amazing...Boys won the WBAL Championships back-to-back years! Congrats to Sam Parker for really rocking it out there and leading such a great group of boys. We had over 40 kids out there every day which was awesome! Next year promises to be just as fun packed and memorable.
2) Stock Market - going so so for now...correction is due but just wondering when it will happen. That is obviously key.
3) Obama & Jerry Brown - both doing amazing things to keep this country and state going. Esp. proud of Brown for cutting literally every single excess on our state budget and not caring about special interest groups or anyone...He has the 'I don't care since I'm really old and I will just cut anything that DOES NOT make sense!!!'
4) Coaching - I had a really good learning year so far and it's been so awesome. I love what I do.
5) Relationships - Got out of a NUTSO relationship...For the first time ever I can say that I'm glad to be out of a relationship...That ended back in Nov. '10. At first glance, she seemed awesome...but wow did things change quickly!!! Now with someone who makes me feel great and she ACTUALLY KNOWS herself and KNOWS what she wants...which is a huuuuge plus...And both of us have the same goals in mind. She actually keeps me on my toes too... =) I hope the next update will be an even better one! So far it looks very promising!
6) Personally - Feeling pretty good and now really trying very hard to get back into shape. Esp. since PVASL soccer started up again!

Updates & Smiles
Sorry again for the long hiatus...It's tough to keep a blog while there's Facebook and I update that often. But I will try my best, I promise!
-Menlo iGreyhounds TC - did awesome this summer! Kids, I am soooo proud of you! You kids always remind me of why I am doing this day in and day out! Also, check out Maddy's article on the Jr. Olympics Nationals this summer: http://www.smdailyjournal.com/article_preview.php?id=137457&title=A+burgeoning+star
-Market - I hate it when I am right about things like these...I told you to profit-take, at least a little bit, when Dow hit 11,000...Well, it's going below 10,000 now and it will get worse unfortunately.
-Obama - I love the guy and feel sorry for how much crap he has gone through. He keeps on taking the punches but still standing up like Rocky Balboa...Look how much he has aged in a short time? =( He's trying his best to fix EVERYTHING at once...and people that keeps on giving him crap, doesn't understand how much CRAP we were before he came into office!
-Menlo XC '10 - we have over 50 kids for the high school!!! Again, I am soooo happy...and not only are the kids working hard, but their personalities and attitudes are just awesome!!! Love 'em!
-Menlo New Athletic Center - all I'm gonna say is...OFF DA HOOK!!! Swing by and check it out if you can.
-Relationships - I don't want to jinx it...but all I am going to say is I am very thankful. So far things are going great with this true woman that not only do I like, but admire more and more each and every day. Notice that I said, WOMAN not girl...Thank you God and wherever this leads, I still believe it will be a great friendship.

Getting The Kids Ready for League Track Meets
I am getting all my kids ready for Middle School & High School League Meets. For Middle School, May 7th 3:00-8:00PM & May 8th 8:00AM-12:00PM at Sacred Heart Prep School in Atherton, CA. For High School, May 8th Time & Location still TBD! Come out and cheer the kids on...We are going for the League Title first time ever in Menlo School's history.
